It is a really beautiful temple, with very large grounds and nice areas in which you can walk around.  <\/p>\n<p><P\/><\/p>\n<p>On the way back I walked past the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.city.otsu.shiga.jp\/english\/kankou\/k007.html\">Seta Karahashi bridge<\/a> (also shows up in some <a href=\"http:\/\/www.shinenkan.com\/Artists\/!EARLY_S.CRE\/RI000004.HTM\">old folding screens<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.japan-photo.de\/e-brue1-12.htm\">some other nice pictures<\/a>) before getting on the JR line to Ishiyama and catching the Shinkansen from Kyoto to Tokyo.  <\/p>\n<p><br clear=\"all\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dragon&#8217;s Hole Pond Entire Ishiyama-dera photo set on Flickr.com After the Japanese Natural Language Processing Conference, I had a few hours before returning to Tokyo, so I went to the nearby Ishiyama temple, which is said to be where the Japanese author Murasaki began writing the Tale of Genji.
